The beginning of his story...
Unable to nest on the Nene Washes due to flooding, Dill's parents nested on nearby farmland. His egg, caked in mud, was carefully cleaned and incubated at WWT Welney. He hatched on 19 May 2018.
Back to the wild...
Dill was released on 19 June at Lady Fen, WWT Welney with 20 other birds.

April 2019. Dill is spotted back at his release site, Lady Fen at WWT Welney.
June 2019. Dill is spending the summer at WWT Welney.
April 2020. Dill is back at Lady Fen, WWT Welney.
May 2020. Calling amongst a group of unringed godwits, Dill is still at WWT Welney.
February 2021. Dill is spotted at Marisma del Rocio in Spain.
