And her story continues...
July 2017. She is seen at RSPB Old Hall Marshes, alongside her brother Manea.
February 2018. She is spotted at two sites near the Tagus River in Portugal.
March 2018. She's seen near the Charante River in France.
May 2018. She returns to her release site, WWT Welney's Lady Fen and is seen on the Ouse Washes. It looks like she has paired up with Nelson.
June 2018. She's seen again at the Ouse Washes and also at Dunkirk,
near Ely.
April 2019. And she's back. Lady is spotted on Lady Fen back at the Ouse Washes for the 2019 breeding season.
May 2019: Lady and Nelson are back together at WWT Lady Fen.
April 2020. Lady is spotted back at Lady Fen, Welney with Nelson, but both move to the RSPB Pilot Project site (adjacent to the Ouse Washes) and appear to be breeding. May 2020. Lady is spotted back at WWT Welney again.
How was she named?
Lady was named after the beautiful Lady Fen, a wet grassland site created adjacent to the Ouse Washes and the project's primary release site. Lady Fen is part of the WWT Welney reserve.
